Tune into Akahdahmah and Sukhdev Jackson from Aykanna’s virtual conference for FREE…

Providing various perspectives on sound as a healing mechanism The Power of Music will give insight to why “We believe music is a powerful catalyst for helping humanity evolve into a more peaceful and understanding global culture.”

Just a quick Google search provides various quotes from the brightest minds on the profound effects of music. The greatest minds in history understood it…

Beethoven got it… “Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life…” and “Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.”

Einstein got it… “"If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music…. I get most joy in life out of music"

Pluto got it…. ““Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything; It is the essence of order and lends to all that is good, just, and beautiful.”

Aristotle got it… “Music directly imitates the passions or states of the soul…when one listens to music that imitates a certain passion, he becomes imbued with the same passion; and if over a long time he habitually listens to music that rouses ignoble passions, his whole character will be shaped to an ignoble form.”

Socrates got it… “Musical training is a more potent instrument than any other, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul, on which they mightily fasten, imparting grace, and making the soul of him who is rightly educated graceful, or of him who is ill-educated ungraceful.”

Anais got it… “Music melts all the separate parts of our bodies together.”

And as the Vibration Generation, we get it…

SO TUNE IN….
TOMORROW, May 19th to The Power of Music!!!

The Legacy of Women

I’ve stumbled across a post from the Mystic Mama blog which is quite fitting for the celebration of today, so please read the excerpt and enjoy the day with the beloved goddess who created you and those who have paved the way…

“When we heal ourselves, others are healed. When we nurture our dreams, we give birth to the dreams of humankind. When we walk as loving aspects of the Earth Mother, we become the fertile, life-giving Mothers of the Creative Force. When we honor our bodies, our health, and our emotional needs, we make space for our dreams to come into being. When we speak the truth from our healed hearts, we allow life abundant to continue on our Mother Planet.”

“As women, we are continually writing the history of the Legacy of Women. We cannot point a finger at men or each other without owning the pain of past generations who forgot how to give or teach human compassion. Our own family trees are filled with teaching situations and with tragic examples that may have blinded our own Ancestors to the values of truth as it is found in love. Now, the destiny of wholeness of the human race falls to the Sisterhood because all things are born of woman.”

“When each woman honors her Self, more raw, creative energy is available to be used by the whole to effect changes in the way humankind reacts to life. When women are no longer lost, asking others to tell them what they should do or how they should live, there will be great changes in our world. This is not to say that the friendships and bonds of women are not to be used; on the contrary, the support of other women who have walked the same path is paramount. This kind of support is based on truth and delivered with caring-without projections or judging another. That kind of support is healthy and productive, when other women create a safe place in which to share personal thoughts and offer alternatives in a respectful way. The sisterhood always supports every woman who is willing to surmount her own challenges in order to grow.”

“The Legacy of Woman does not have to include the former hurts that have set woman against woman, women against men, or caused women to destroy themselves through sabotage….there is no need to get involved with the high drama and pettiness that has kept us from achieving human harmony when we are busy working on becoming our personal visions.”

“Self-esteem is reclaimed when the feminine principle of nurturing the Self is practiced, instead of expecting our sense of wholeness to come from our relationship to another person. When we care enough for ourselves to take the time we need to give to the Self, we will feel complete.”

“In every instance, no matter how the situation presents itself, each individual is responsible for seeing her or his own hurt and for finding a way to heal it without making the other person responsible for that pain. This is the way of the feminine nurturing principle: going within, finding the problem, and remedying it through nurturing the self.”

Thermometers to Success…

"You’re only as great as the people you surround yourself with"…

This quote popped into my head as I was thinking about all the amazing people that are in my life. Blessed with a strong and determined mother, graceful and angelic aunty, powerful and proactive sister. Reviewing all the intelligent and compassionate men and women in my life literally sent a heat wave through my body.

Volunteering for Golden Bridge’s One World Peace Day teen event yesterday with the After School All Stars we were to identify a worldly issue and provide community oriented solutions and action steps to solving this universal problem. Our issue (as identified by multiple participants in the group) was bullying. In the process to building our action plan to eliminate bullying from its roots, our key resolution was to see the other (the bully) as a part of our Self.

Allowing compassion into heart and mind when someone in your life is not resembling the purest part of yourself naturally elevates you to a perspective of change and transformation rather than victimization and perpetuation. Creating the space needed to see where they are coming from helps you realize that you are not the reason for their words and actions. Helping them to redirect their energy in a productive way is the most powerful tool we are given as humans. We are in their life for a reason and they are in ours. Becoming aware of these reasons rather than dwelling on the “what did I do to deserve this?” or taking their actions and words to heart is an exhaustion of this creative energy.

These people are thermometers to our life’s destiny. Seeing those that occupy our life, directly and indirectly, from day to day, as our Self is a wonderful gauge on how we are perceiving ourselves on the inside. Telling us how hot or cold we are to manifesting our dreams, releasing past karmas and unlearning preconditions. By seeing the other as ourselves, not only does this create compassion and understanding all around but it becomes a fun game to see the energy that we attract in any given day. Remembering to surround ourselves with cheerleaders for our pure self, rooting us on to become the best that we can be, not discouraging us from doing what feels most natural.

Often successful people are misinterpreted as dictators, demanding and angry people that like to boss others around when in reality the most powerful people who’ve left a legacy are those that get others to do what they want through the understanding and want of the other. The follower becomes a leader in his own right and chooses to follow. Those that use force do not have lasting success. The most successful leaders are those that arise from darkness, showing others the light and calling them towards it.

There is nothing greater than helping to elevate those around you. Helping your friends, colleagues, coworkers, family or even the stranger you passed along your jogging route this morning to strive for more. Urging them to push past their edge into their bliss will have everlasting effects on their life and on yours. A lesson that beyond the discomfort of the unfamiliar lies the bliss and bounty of comfort and happiness. Never settling for too long in one dimension, always pushing further away from the doubt and fear. Always ascending into the light and always illuminating for those lost in their darkness.

Success is a state of mind yes, and those that are in your life are reflections of your mind state. So be aware of where you place your power and energy. In what and who do you see yourself most? How can you make them become better?

We are all in this together, after all.
